Rhetorical Examination Essay: The Scarlet Notice
In the Holy bible it says, in Matt 5: 27-28, " You could have heard it turned out said, 'Do not commit adultery. Inside the Scarlet Notification by Nathaniel Hawthorne, the primary character Hester Prynne was an adulteress in the seventeenth century through the Puritan era. Three rhetorical strategies that actually stood away were symbolism, archaic diction, and paradox. The use of these rhetorical tactics enables Hawthorne to tell the story of the female who was ruined for adultery and to expose the hypocrisy in a Puritan society. The first rhetorical strategy can be symbolism. In the book, The Scarlet Letter, Hester Prynne had been punished on her sins because an adulterer and was forced to have on a crimson " AвЂќ on her outfits at all times. Likewise, in the end the moment Reverend Dimmesdale was stuffed so much with guilt, reveals his own scarlet page engraved in the chest, to get he had sinned too. One other example of meaning is Hester's daughter Pearl. Hester traveled to the governor's mansion, following she noticed talk about Gem being removed and put in foster proper care because she was unfit of a mom to take care of her. Dimmesdale guarantees Governor Bellingham that Treasure should not be removed because Pearl is Hester's reminder from the sin she has committed. The next rhetorical strategy is gothic diction.
